Making your own Usable Images

Maybe you are wondering, how do I cut usable images? How do I make specific designs that I need to put on my daughter’s batting helmet?  Well, I am so glad you asked, because I have the answer!

If you have a Cricut then you have access to Cricut design space.  It is where I create any image that I cut with my Cricut.  Aside from THOUSANDS of pre-loaded images, you have the capability of adding ANYTHING you can find.  ANYTHING!!!! Anything you can think up in your head.  Anything you can take a picture of.  Anything you see anywhere on the internet.

Here is a video that shows you how to upload a screen shot from your phone and make it a cut file in Cricut design space.  I used a cork screw for the video, but I did the same exact thing with the bow that I put on Bella’s batting helmet above.

I recommend if you are a new Cricut user or do not know how to navigate Design Space yet, go to cricut.com and do a design space tutorial.  It is seriously so simple you could absolutely wing it and just look through the software and figure it out.  However it is nice to watch someone do it first! Plus if you do not have design space or a Cricut it may give you the guts to get one once you see how un-complicated it is to use.

I took this owl directly out of design space and also the font for the name. I made this vinyl decal for a friends tumbler this weekend, there is like 100 owl templates to choose from so it took me longer to look through all the images than to cut the vinyl.
